The show’s executive producer has said there was an “equal opportunities” approach to nudity with “a willy for every pair of t*ts”.
The show has been taking streaming by storm since it landed on Disney+ last week on October 18.
Speaking about the series, Victoria told Patrick: “I would describe Rivals as bombastic British bonking brilliance. And then you throw in an Irish family and carnage happens.”
Patrick joked about the nudity saying: “And we see quite a lot. It’s an eight-part series. And from what I can see, there were eight parts showing in the first episode alone.”
Victoria attempted to bring the audience into the conversation saying: “Yes. There were days, I’m not going to lie, like the costumes… Has anybody here seen it?”
However, the actress was met with complete silence before they finally answered: “No.”
Victoria seemed thrown and quickly replied: “No? Oh, guys, making me sad.”
The About A Boy star shed some light on the less than impressive response saying: “But it does mean that you’ve got a real fun ride ahead of you. So to speak.”
Victoria also complimented the audience after the awkward moment saying: “By the way, does everybody look amazing? Look at you all. Looks incredible.”
RTE viewers at home couldn’t believe how awkward the moment was.
Rebecca said: “Oh Lord. How awkward. Has anyone seen Rivals? Noooo.”
Betty wrote: “The silence is deafening!!!!”
‘BAD THINGS’
Jimmy remarked: “The silence from the audience… should have practiced the audience reaction in rehearsals.”
In Victoria’s interview, she also revealed she loves playing people who “do bad things”.
She explained: “The minute you hit 40, you start getting the villains and the bad girls and the people who are doing all the things that in society are not acceptable. And it’s so fun.
“It’s so fun. And my kids always say to me that when I come home, I’m so much nicer.
“Because if they, you know, the spaghetti bolognese goes on the floor or whatever, I’m like, ‘No problem’, because I’ve been awful all day long.
“So I’m just fluffy when I get back.”
