RTE Fair City viewers were all left saying the same thing after Georgie provided a watertight alibi for Laura’s murder.

In tonight’s episode, the net closed in on Georgie as Buckley ramped up the investigation.

Georgie provided a watertight alibi for Laura’s murder
Damien and Mairead apologised to Georgie for suspecting him
Georgie opened up about the death of his little sister

Damien suspected Mairead knew more about the card than she was letting on.

Emma pressured Hayley to set up a meeting with Sharon.

Mairead informed Damien that Georgie is a person of interest but advised him against confrontation.

Georgie planned on leaving town for a few days but Buckley invited him for questioning at the Garda station.

Sharon and Emma clashed over drinks.

Georgie provided a watertight alibi for Laura’s murder but realised that his reputation had already been tarnished.

Damien and Mairead apologised to Georgie for suspecting him.

Georgie revealed that he felt compelled to support Damien because he feels responsible for the death of his little sister.  

And after tonight’s episode RTE viewers were all left with the same questions.

One fan said: “If not Georgie then who?”

Kevin wrote: “I said Pete last week but now I’m beginning to think it’s Fergal.”

Sinead added: “Sooo, not Georgie then.”

Elsewhere, Ray joked about Paul’s lack of funds when he enquired about a flashy car at the garage.

Pete was affronted that Dolores hadn’t thanked him for his heroics at the garage.

Pete worried the burglars may return and continued to pop painkillers in secret.

Paul played down his money woes when Dolores enquired about Vinos.

Paul approached Pete with a quick cash scheme for the new car, but Pete scorned his suggestion.

Pete felt guilty when Doug apologised for doubting his recovery.

CITY DRAMA

Provoked by Dolores’ snubbing, Pete reconsidered the car grift with Paul.

Pete agreed to sell the car to Paul, had Paul sell to a third party at a higher price, then split the profit.

Jess remained irritated by Steo’s lack of help with baby Taylor.

Jess was hopeful when Steo planned a romantic evening for them.

Jess talked up Steo’s date night to a dubious Babs.

Jess was disappointed when Steo’s romantic evening consisted of staying in and having her cook.

A fed-up Jess left Steo in charge of Taylor as she headed out for the night.

A clueless Steo was baffled by Jess’s behaviour.

Jess was horrified when Steo appeared at McCoys and revealed that he’s left Taylor with a dodgy babysitter.
