IRELAND AM star Alan Hughes played a hilarious prank on Muireann O’Connell that left her screaming: “It’s all over me.”
The funny duo were back on air this morning alongside Kieran Cuddihy, who was filling in for Tommy Bowe.
On today’s show, the trio were left in stitches after Alan played a sneaky prank on Muireann while on air.
Kieran, Alan, and Muireann, were sitting on the couch as they introduced a new segment.
Kieran said: “He’s a legendary footballer and she’s a former Towie star, Rio and Kate Ferdinand will tell us why they are on a mission to help young people in cross border communities.”
As Kieran finished his introduction the camera immediately panned over to Alan Hughes.
Alan sat carefully on the couch as he tried not to drop the guacamole and sour cream that was all over his hands.
The popular presenter attempted to present the next segment as he added: “Plus Westlife’sShane Filan talks life on tour and why he is supporting Rio Ferdinand’s initative.”
The 60-year-old began to inch closer and closer to Muireann as he continued to speak.
Just as he finished up the introduction he reached out and rubbed the two dips all over Muireann, resulting in a big scream from his co-host.
Alan immediately burst into fits of laughter, as Muireann began to scream: “Ah! I don’t own this jumper, I don’t own this jumper!”
The 42-year-old had guacamole all over her face and down her trousers.
While Muireann continued to panic about the food staining her clothes Alan could still be seen bent over in stitches laughing.
When the Limerick beauty realised the guacamole had got all over her stylish trousers she began to freak out even more.
Alan humorously added: “Ah they’re yours they don’t matter.”
Ireland AM posted the hilarious clip to their Instagram with the caption: “Anyone fancy an avocado?”
And Muireann took to her Instagram stories after the show to share her reaction to the funny prank.
‘Look at this’
The Irish host could be seen standing up on the couch on set screaming: “He put avocado all over me!”
A member of the crew could be seen wiping the food off of Muireann, as she shouted over to Alan: “Look at this!”
Alan could then be seen walking over to view the damage that had been done as he comforted Muireann by saying: “Oh you’re grand, you’re all right love.”
Alan, Muireann and the rest of the crew began to laugh as someone pointed out “it’s all over her foot”.
